What is Pre-Prep®?

Pre-Prep® is raw seed without a pellet primed to prevent thermal dormancy.

Guards against light and heat sensitivity

Light sensitivity and heat sensitivity are significant issues for some plants, especially lettuce. Pre-Prep® overcomes the issues of photochrome-induced dormancy.

Decreased germination time

Seeds treated with Pre-Prep® will decrease the time necessary for germination and subsequent emergence to occur.

Stand Uniformity

Pre-Prep® can improve the stand uniformity to facilitate production management and enhance uniformity at harvest.

No pellet

The Pre-Prep® process does not add a pellet to the seed. This treatment is ideal for those instances when exacting seed placement and plant spacing are not a primary concern.
