CROP LIST
Specializing in a Range of Conventional CropsWe are vegetable seed specialists treating a range of crops from vegetables and flowers, to native plants.
Primary Vegetables
Seed Dynamics primarily treats vegetable seeds such as lettuce, onion and carrots. Other vegetables that end up on the tables of millions of families, such as cabbage, peppers, and tomatoes, also benefit from our treatments.
Specialty Crops
Flowers and spices are some of the specialty crops that benefit from our seed treatments. One of our clients has reported longer lifecycles of perennials due to the treatments we’ve applied to their seeds. Contact us if you have a specialty crop that could benefit from pelleting, priming, encrusting, or protectants.
Reclamation Seed
Seed Dynamics, Inc. is a seed technology “Preferred Vendor” for multiple private and governmental organizations that perform wildland restoration of large tracts of land. Commonly these lands have experienced wildfires and are in need of reseeding for the purpose of mitigating erosion. Industry impacted areas are also often in need of similar treatment for restoration purposes.
The seed used is commonly a mix of different native grasses, forbs and shrubs using aerial application methods for planting. The blend of species is designed specifically for the area of reclamation. There can be significant shape, size and weight differences between various species within the blend. When applied by aerial means the seed mix will stratify while falling through the air. The lighter seeds will float further in the wind than will the heavier seed concentrating single species into bands across the landscape rather than the desired mix of species. An inert coating can be applied to smaller seed before blending adding volume and weight to lessen the shape, size and weight differences between the various species in the final seed blend. Under certain circumstances beneficial rhizobium can be added to the coating material surrounding the seed.
If you don't see a crop you're looking for listed below, contact us and we will discuss which of our many seed treatment options is right for you.
