What is It?

Film coating involves putting a thin polymer layer around the seed. The film is applied after the seed has been treated with customer specified fungal or insecticidal seed treatment. Color is added to the polymer so users will know the seed is treated. The film locks the seed treatment actives onto the seed so handlers don’t come into direct contact with applied seed treatments.

Ideal for Seed-applied Plant Protectants

This is the ideal choice when you don’t want to change the shape of the seed and you’d like to keep the seed weight almost the same. Generally, film coating increases the weight of a seed by 1%-1.5%. Adding color to the polymer also aids in seed identification when tuning planters for correct seed placement.
